Devils Earn Post-Season Honors

Several Red Devils have been named to all-state and all-area teams.

The AJC named senior linebacker Tavious McGahee to its first team Class A defense and junior tight end Rusty Scott to its first team offense.

McGahee was also named to the Georgia Sports Writers Association all-state football team as a linebacker. Included on the Honorable Mention list were Scott and defensive lineman Marquis Parks.

Parks as a defensive lineman and McGahee as a linebacker were named to The Augusta Chronicle's Georgia all-area first team defense. Scott was selected at the third team tight-end. Keestan Wynn earned a spot as a third team linebacker, with Franklin Sherman as a defensive back.

Two more members of the always tough Devil Defense made honorable mention: linebacker Steven Morris and defensive tackle Keldrick Cunningham.

Scott, Sherman, Morris, and Cunningham will return for the 2010 season.
