CheerDevils Win FIRST Region Title in Only Second Year of Competition!

February 09, 2004

The LC CheerDevils won their first region Cheerleading championship this past Saturday at Sandy Creek High in Tyrone. The team scored 215, beating Aquinas (200) and Twiggs County (152). The ladies "got their first police escort back into town to the school. We are so excited about winning region in just our second year of competition and about getting that region banner for the gym, YEAH!!! We also had to overcome not practicing for two days due to the ice storm...what a week!!"

The CheerDevils competed for the state championship February 7 at the Columbus Coliseum, but Commerce's experienced squad continued its dominance and won the title.
