TLJ 10/26/1922: Lincolnton Easy Winner Last Week -- Lincolnton's stalwarts went to McCormick last Friday afternoon to play a return game of football and they brought the pigskin home, not being molested to any great extent by the eleven from the high school at that place. Tut's boys scored 62 points while the McCormick team was not able to get the ball beyond their own 30-yard line. The losers took the defeat good naturedly and realized that it was not due to their inferior playing so much as to the heavier weight of the Lincolnton players.
